"Writing is an adventure. To begin with, it is a toy and an amusement. Then it becomes a mistress, then it becomes a master, then it becomes a tyrant. The last phase is that just as you are about to be reconciled to your servitude, you kill the monster and fling him to the public." — Winston Churchill

— via Golf.com. Tiger and Jack back together again. Had to be pretty cool to see in person, especially when you read what happened at the end.

This studio holds 380 people. It’s exactly like being at a Clippers game.

Simply brilliant marketing. Only Nike could turn an ad campaign around like this. nbaplayoffs2009

I think Gary Myers came up with a heck of a stat in a Sunday New York Daily News story: The [New York] Giants have gone through their entire 140,000-person waiting list and still haven’t sold about 4,000 of the premium seats in their new stadium. There’s time, obviously, with 15 months before opening day at the new Giants Stadium. But it’s worrisome that the team with an eternally tough ticket has almost 4,000 of its choicest seats available. Puts quite some pressure on the 2009 Giants to be contenders, to build up the demand for the new stadium.
